Thalackerer

The historical picture of the farm is almost complete. This comes out from the writings, which lie in the parish archive of Gais and St. Georgen.

1443: Hans Thalacker is Kirchpropst in the church of St. Georg. He buys the rights of the farm for 10 and a half Mark Perner.
1548: Urbar: Hans Thalacker, the younger zinst at the church of St. Georgen.
1614: Urbar: The heir of Hans Thalackers zinsen yearly 4 kr.
1655: At the distribution of the water laws in Äland signs also Gregor Thalacker.
1675: Johann Thalacker, son of Gregor Thalacker marries Maria Oberhammer.
1716: Johann Thalacker is indebted and must sell the farm. >>>
                              THE HUBER ON THE THALACKERER
1726: Hans Huber gives the Thalacker-farm at his son Sohn Peter, which he bought from Mr. Matheisen.
1736: Hans Huber dies with 60. years.
1760: Peter Huber owes its brother Stefan 100 fl.
1805: The father Peter Huber gives the farm at his son Johann, its woman is Maria Winkler. The accumulated debts were them too much and them had to sell the farm in 1811

1833: Paul Passler is called as owner of the Thalackerhof.
1841: Paul Passler dies. Its children are still under age and Bartlmä Ingarten are called temporarily as a guardian.
1864: Johann Passler, son of Paul, now owner of the Thalacker farm, marries Maria Tratter from St. Georgen.
1911: Hiring contract by Johann Passler to his son Peter Passler which is married with Margareth Huber. After some years its son Josef took over the farm.
1947: Josef Passler marries Maria Mutschlechner
1959: The holiday house is built. It served at the beginning only for the accommodation of the family and the farmhands of the farm.
1962: Beginning of the guest enterprise. Josef and Maria Passler are says first travel's groups at the Thalackerhof welcomely.
1968: New building of the fodder house. (Stable, barn)
1969: Last workhorse „Mina “was sold.
1980: New building of the today's house of the family Passler
1981: Josef Passler gives the farm to his son Peter
1982: 1. May: Peter marries Anna Gasser from St. Lorenzen. Up to 1989 their three children Christiane, Tobias, and Magdalena are born!
1991: Josef Passler dies at the age of 78 years
1999: For the heating of the house a hogged wood heating system is inserted. The heating takes place since then with smallchopped wood, which is won from in-house forest. Heat with wood is more economically and more environmentalcarefully.
2001: A machine garage (7.5m x 13.9m) was established.
2004: The cow stable was modernized. Thus the animals can move and please always freely itself of best health.
Today: The whole family cooperates purposefully and with joy in the farm. It is in the traditional agricultural enterprise, and in the holiday house. Together - and with co-operation optimistically one looks into the future!

Besides:
The history of the farm was represented here only in short form, but I hope that we could give to you nevertheless a good idea of the past of our farm. The farm existed now already since 550 years, and it is also evidently about which the name „Thalackerhof “ can be derived! (see above)

For now nearly 200 years the farm is in family estate. This shows the solidarity and the tradition-conscious thinking of our family. Now already over 45 years come to us groups of vacation. At the beginning usually groups of young people from Germany until today it became ever more internationally (Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Holland, Belgium, Poland, Danmark, Sweden…)

Many of our regular customers visit us already since 20 years and more! This gives to our family courage and confidence for the future, and the satisfaction that we carried out the last years a good work!
